Abnormal Breast Imaging Evaluation and Management

Having an abnormal mammogram or ultrasound is a stressful time in a woman’s life. Your physician will evaluate your images and guide you along a recommended management path for these abnormal findings. Sometimes this involves proceeding to diagnostic biopsy. Other times, this involves additional imaging such as MRI or focused ultrasound prior to biopsy.  It may even involve formal genetic evaluation. Abnormal images also may found to be entirely benign and safely followed. Dr. Slam’s extensive experience in the management and evaluation of breast conditions will allow us to find a management option that is comfortable and reasonable for each and every patient.
